Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Academy of Professional Courses has been named after the legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. We offer our students professional bachelor's degree programmes (with a duration of 3 years) such as BBA, BCA and BBA (Hospital Management). Our courses are affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) West Bengal, formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The syllabi offered are approved by MAKAUT and are precisely designed to cater to the industry requirements.
Our courses are known to offer analytical, conceptual and operational skills which are expected to be the key factor in decision making and managing resources in organisations of various domains. We train our young professionals to be robust enough to respond confidently and effectively to every challenge that may come their way from the industry and/or the corporate world.

It has been a decade since BCREC-APC was introduced under the umbrella of Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur. The seeds that we sowed in the year 2010 have now blossomed into a tree of academic success. Even at just a decade-old, this institute has earned the reputation of being a center of quality education imparting knowledge in the fields of Business Administration, Computer Application and Hospital Management. In collaboration with the Mission Hospital Durgapur, the college boasts of an in-campus Medical Unit where health care services are offered by qualified and experienced doctors.
The college has two food stations (canteens) that the students, staff members and even their parents can access. The canteen offers quality meals and snacks maintaining food quality, hygiene and cleanliness.
C. Reprographics
Photocopying college facilities are offered at multiple corners of the college to cater to the reprographic necessities of academic life.
Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Academy of Professional Courses offers banking and ATM facilities within the campus so that students do not need to step out for all their monetary transactions. We have tied up with the State Bank of India and Axis Bank ATM counter for the students.
E. Parking Lots
We offer parking lots inside the campus separate for both the staff members and the students.
Power cuts are a major problem in the area. Hence, to offer students an uninterrupted power supply we have our own dedicated HT power supply, generator backup and 10 KVA UPS (for the computer lab) within our institution.
G. Residential Accommodation (In-Campus Hostels)
The college offers separate hostels (three boys and two girls hostels) to support the aspiration of those students who reside far away from the college premises. To increase the level of security, the girls’ hostel is located next to the professor’s enclave. For additional security, the hostels are monitored 24X7 with CCTV cameras. The hostels offer all requisite facilities such as common room, internet, AC and non-AC guest rooms (for guardians) boarding, lodging and more.
The college encourages students to engage in both indoor and outdoor sports and games and offers space for basketball, volleyball, badminton, football and cricket.
The college holds separate multi-speciality gymnasiums for both men and women within the campus to address the health and fitness requirements of students as well as the staff members.
J. Yoga / Meditation Centre
The college also offers a Yoga and Meditation centre. This is to help the students imbibe mental wellness practices so as to improve motivation and concentration.
The college is registered under “14 Bengal Battalion” at the Asansol headquarter and offers NCC program to the students. Students are also encouraged to take part in the NCC program held by the institute to imbibe leadership skills.
To nurture the special interests and co-curricular activities of the students we encourage them to participate in several clubs that we offer. Apart from the departmental clubs (Management Clubs, IT Clubs and more) we also address other areas to impact the holistic development of the students like the music club, karate club, photography club, quiz club and more. Students are also encouraged to actively participate in competitions and activities like Rangoli competition, organising festivals such as Vishwakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja and more.
Our college is strictly against ragging and anyone involved in such acts of crime will be expelled immediately and will also be subject to the minimum punishment issued by the Supreme Court of India. We have a specialised anti-ragging cell that closely monitors the students and their activities and takes necessary actions if anyone is found guilty of participating in such activities.
Blazing-fast internet connectivity with Wi-Fi facility serves as a boon to the students. We encourage the use of the internet for research, assignment and project work and motivate them to maximize their learning with the support of this college facility.
Our fully air-conditioned auditorium is a witness to several inter-departments meet, events, celebrations and is a place to nurture togetherness. The auditorium is equipped with all the required amenities that would create a sound and comfortable environment for our students.
The seminar hall makes the best platform to conduct guest lectures, presentations, discussions and more. With a seating capacity of 100, our seminar hall is equipped with microphones, slide projectors and audio-visual aids.
Our library is the most sought-after college facility and the most-visited corner of the institution. Stocked up with books and journals that offer knowledge beyond the syllabus, we motivate the time our students occupy at the library. We also offer a digital library and a book bank to facilitate learning.

Our hostels are also under 24X7 CCTV monitoring along with the supervision of our wardens and matrons. Our control room is attended by our security team 24X7 so that nothings escapes our sight.
Our college facilities also include a guest house that welcomes the stay of the guardians visiting their children. Our campus houses a non-AC and Ac guest rooms to support boarding and lodging.
